The oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal swab by WeLab is essential in the diagnosis of many pathogens and viruses in the respiratory areas, including Covid-19. WeLab provides an oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal swab that can facilitate samples collection. The samples are for testing and diagnosis purposes.

Material of tip
The swab has a flocked nylon swab. Nylon swabs have the highest affinity to samples but the lowest retention levels (non-absorbent). Therefore, the nylon swab releases the study samples immediately after their collection onto the transport or study medium.
Material of shaft
The ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) material makes the swab shaft soft to the touch, easy to bend, but difficult to break. The material makes it easy to collect samples deep into your nasal cavity without breaking but bending at will to prevent injuries. However, it does come with a manufactured breaking point.
BreakPoint
The breaking point can be at 30mm, 80mm, 100mm, or other, depending on the sample collection area. Press the breakpoint to release the swab into the transport liquid or medium. One swab can be with two breakpoints as need.
Sterilization
WeLab oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal swabs are sterile and free from bacteria. We pass the swabs through EO Gas for sterilization and pack them in hygienic and closed peel packs.
