Slides are Silane Coated
The WeLab positively charged slides have an APES (3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane) coat. The coat helps charge the slide by increasing the bond (covalent) between the glass and the Silane. The bond prevents sample tissues understudy from falling off during the staining process or the freezing period. A sample falling off can result in contamination rendering the study sample unfit for use.
Frosted Area and Corner
The charged slides have a frosted section of the glass for labeling and slide identification. The frosted area can also appear in different colors for easier sample tracking and identification. Plus, the slides are either clipped or cut at 45o and 90o with ground edges for personal safety and security when handling study samples.
Compatibility of Frosted Area
Plus, our range of positively charged slides labeling systems can work with different means of labeling. These include using a pen or pencil as the material does not stain easily. Frost-end positively charged slides are compatible with thermal transfer, inkjet, and laser printers as labeling means for sample identification. It adds to the versatility exhibited by WeLab slides.

Autoclavable
Positively charged slides are autoclavable. To sterilize the slides before use, you can expose the soda-lime glass material making up the slide to high pressure and temperatures. However, WeLab delivers all slides in sterilized bags, pre-cleaned and ready for any application or use.
